The Oscar-winning duo’s Everything Everywhere All At Once follow-up will also star Sandra Oh and Matt Damon.

PinkPantheress to appear in the Daniels’ next film

Now that she’s learned how to perform on a live stage, a soundstage is all that’s left for PinkPantheress to master. And do so she will: the singer was recently announced as part of the bill for a new movie by directors Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert. The duo, whose 2022 film Everything Everywhere All at Once won the Oscar for Best Picture, have signed on to direct a new feature with Universal. PinkPantheress previously contributed to movie soundtracks for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Barbie, but the Daniels’ untitled project, scheduled for a November 2027 theatrical release, will mark her onscreen debut.

The pop star, born Victoria Beverly Walker, may seem an unlikely choice for the silver screen, but she’s got the acting chops to come out swinging. The artist studied film at the University of the Arts London before her music rocketed to the top of the charts in 2021. She dropped out the next year after initially wanting to be a film editor. The details of the Daniels’ next film are still under lock and key, but it’s currently slated to star Matt Damon, Sandra Oh, Charles Melton, Michael Gandolfini, and Sean Kaufman alongside the “Stateside” singer.
