LCD Soundsystem, A Tribe Called Quest, Solange Tapped to Headline 2017 Pitchfork Music Festival

The annual Pitchfork Music Festival has begun the announcement process for its 2017 lineup. Today, via a Facebook Live stream, they showed a painter working on a mural that would eventually reveal the headliners for this year’s festivities, but luckily for everyone (except maybe that painter), we weren’t forced to wait for him to finish to get the news.

News leaked that the bill would be topped by LCD Soundsystem, A Tribe Called Quest and Solange, which was then confirmed by Pitchfork along with information about a collaboration with Solange’s Saint Heron label and their newly introduced VIP ticketing option, Pitchfork +Plus. They have yet to announce their plan for revealing the rest of the lineup, with their website reading simply, “More performers to be announced soon.”

Pitchfork Music Festival takes place July 14-16 at Union Park in Chicago. You can find information on tickets here and listen to Paste Cloud audio from a 2007 LCD Soundsystem show below.
