Pixies Are Hitting the Road in Support of Head Carrier

To support their 2016 release Head Carrier, the still Kim Deal-less Pixies are touring the U.S.

Running from late-April through the end of May, Black Francis, Joey Santiago, David Lovering and Paz Lenchantin will tour the country playing the aforementioned record along with Surfer Rosa, Doolittle, Bossanova, Trompe le Monde, Indie Cindy and a slew of “catalog rarities.” Typical for Pixies shows, there aren’t any firm setlists and each night will generously pull from some 90 songs in their repertoire.

The also wonderful Public Access TV and Cymbals Eat Guitars will split the supporting slot over the course of the tour, which starts in Pomona, Calif. on April 21—check out the full list of dates below. General sales for tickets begin Jan. 27 and can be found here. Finally, enjoy Paste Cloud audio from a 1998 Frank Black show and watch the video for the still-great “Debaser” below to wash the bitter taste of Indie Cindy away.
