Queens of the Stone Age Expand North American Tour

Queens of the Stone Age have extended their 2018 Villains World Tour, adding 16 new North American shows in support of their seventh studio album.

Starting with a March 21-22 two-night stand in San Diego, QOTSA’s new dates run through the end of May 2018. The new leg includes an April 24 stop in Austin—the band’s first headlining show there since 2011, and their first time in ATX since Austin City Limits 2013—as well as stops in New Orleans, Miami and Canada.

Joshua Homme and company will be joined by supporting acts Wolf Alice (April 24-May 2) and Royal Blood (May 17-25), as well as Eagles of Death Metal on their Jan. 22-30 run and special guest Ty Segall at their Feb. 1 show in San Francisco. Tickets go on sale this Friday, Nov. 10 at 10 a.m. local time, with the exception of QOTSA’s Austin show, on sale next Friday, Nov. 7 at 10 a.m. local time. The 2017 Villains Tour earned the band rave reviews and was highlighted by a two-hour, career-spanning set at Madison Square Garden, QOTSA’s first-ever headlining show at the renowned New York venue. Villains itself, released Aug. 25 via Matador, debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on the U.S. album chart.
