R.E.M.’s Mike Mills to Release Classical Concerto

Mike Mills, bassist for seminal alt-rock pioneers R.E.M, is preparing to release a record of his original classical composition titled Concerto for Violin, Rock Band and String Orchestra. The LP will be on sale starting Oct. 14 via the label Orange Mountain Music. On the album, Mills is joined by violin virtuoso Robert McDuffie, as well as the McDuffie Center for Strings Ensemble. In addition, Mills, McDuffie and the Fifth House Ensemble will be on tour during the months of October and November. Find their dates below.
