Living with yourself can be a real chore. We put up with a lot of shit, but we’re quick to feel that disturbance rock through us as well, knowing that it’s getting too thick in here and breathing is soon going to be arrested. We takes ourselves to our breaking points, living with the patter of resistance, pride and flimsy love cooking up a head-scratching cocktail that’s often tough to swallow.
The music of Rhodes is dense with whispering demons and those moments of twitching uncertainty. These moments are lined with the pull of sadness and happiness in such ways that the two forces are caricatures or mimics of each other and it becomes a light, mist icing over everything.
