Rihanna Is Now the Wealthiest Female Musician in the World

That’s right, baby—style icon, beauty entrepreneur and vocalist Rihanna is officially the wealthiest female musician in the world, Forbes reported this afternoon.

Her celebrated ventures in clothing design, beauty and, of course, music, with her being one of the most highest-selling contemporary pop artists in history, has translated into a $600 million fortune.

Forbes calculates that a chunk of her fortune comes from her ongoing partnership with French luxury goods giant LVMH, who co-owns her wildly successful Fenty Beauty cosmetics brand.

Fenty Beauty, a viral success and fan-favorite for its diverse and inclusive range of foundation shades, accumulated a reported $100 million in sales in its first few weeks and generated an estimated $570 in revenue last year. The entire operation is worth more than $3 billion, per Forbes.

The musician also oversees the Savage x Fenty luxury lingerie line and has just launched her latest venture with LVMH, a high-end fashion house under the name of “Fenty” that makes clothing, shoes and accessories in a range of inclusive sizes. The brand’s first collection went live earlier this week.

She also wants you to stop bugging her about releasing a new album.

A roster of other seasoned pop pioneers closely trail behind Rihanna’s title, including Madonna ($570 million), Céline Dion ($450 million) and Beyoncé ($400 million).

The news comes a day after Forbes reported that Jay-Z has hit billionaire status, making him the first hip-hop artist (and one of few entertainers) to do so.

Maybe it’s time for us to start work work work work work working our asses off.
