In the days since, he’s slowly but surely unspooled more detail about his forthcoming LPs, the first two of which are titled Big Colors and Wednesdays; the third remains untitled for now.
Adams offered up the Big Colors album art and an in-studio clip alongside his three-album announcement on Monday. The Washington Post’s Jackie Alemany has since revealed the first album’s release date, April 19, and its tracklist, which spans 15 songs. Alemany also reports that Adams produced the album alongside Beatriz Artola and Don Was.

CBS This Morning cohost Anthony Mason later revealed the Wednesdays album art and 17-song tracklist, confirming it will be the second of Adams’ three new albums, revealing a star-studded list of collaborators—including Emmylou Harris, Jason Isbell and Benmont Tench III—and continuing the odd trend of Adams meting out information on his trio of new LPs via political reporters.

Most recently, Adams debuted the first single from Big Colors, “Doylestown Girl,” via Philadelphia’s WXPN, tweeting, “It will play in PA only on PA stations.” No word yet on when the track will receive an official release—we’ll update this post once it does—but those who were fortunate enough to catch the song on-air seem awfully enthused about it.
