Ryan Adams Releases New Single “F*ck The Rain,” Announces U.K./Ireland Tour

Ryan Adams has brightened this dull January day with “Fuck The Rain,” the latest (and official lead) single from his forthcoming album Big Colors (one of three new albums he’s releasing this year, including Wednesdays). The track features a guitar solo from none other than John Mayer.

The song’s wistful lyrics, buoyed by sun-soaked guitar, feel fit for midwinter, reminding us that spring is on its way. Adams sings imploringly for us to “fuck the rain, all that pain,” and instead seek “permanent sunshine.”

“Check out this song, it’s cool,” said Adams in a statement. “Or don’t—we all might die, Trump is president. I love you, sincerely Ryan Adams.”
