Tomorrow, LA-based duo Sextile will release their fun, brash, and whip-smart new album, yes, please., via Sacred Bones. The music spans a menagerie of sub-genre, exploring the sounds of electroclash, no wave, hardstyle, rave, and “occult-inspired” post-punk. Tracks like “Freak Eyes,” “Kids,” and “S if For” have carried Melissa Scaduto and Brady Keehn into a new dimension, playing up the momentum of their breakout 2018 single “Disco”, 2023 label debut Push, and their high-energy live shows. For their final yes, please. teaser, Sextile have unveiled a music video for “Women Respond to Bass.”

Scaduto says of the song: “‘Women Respond to Bass’ was written as a sassy strutter for the girls, gays, and theys. We originally wanted to do this video as a Boiler Room-style video, but because of time we were unable. While we were in Tokyo, our new friends and promoters we were working with there offered to make a video and they made it happen the next day. We shot it at 4 AM after we played a show & the regrouped for another night to shoot. Tokyo being the main character, we are now in love with Japan.”
