Last month, Starz Digital announced its acquisition of the Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings documentary Miss Sharon Jones!

Today, the official trailer for the film has arrived, which you can watch above. The documentary focuses on the delayed release and tour behind the group’s 2014 album Give the People What They Want due to Jones’ cancer diagnosis.

The documentary is directed by Academy Award-winning director Barbara Kopple and will release to select theaters starting on July 27 in New York. The full list of those theaters and dates can be found here. A digital, home media and streaming release will be announced sometime this fall.
