Exclusive: Watch Sheryl Crow and Lucius Perform with an Orchestra on CMT Crossroads

CMT Crossroads, which pairs country artists with talent from other genres, has produced tons of notable collaborations over the years, from Leon Bridges and Luke Combs to Katy Perry and Kacey Musgraves. Add another stunning force to that mix: Grammy-winning country/rock hero Sheryl Crow and indie-folk duo Lucius. The team comprised of Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig joined Crow for a breathtaking taping of her song “Don’t,” which is also featured on her recently released final album Threads. Wolfe and Laessig appear on the album version as well.

In the clip, which you can watch first exclusively here at Paste, Lucius provide stunning backing vocals while Crow sings and plays piano. The trio is also backed by a full orchestra, making for a chills-inducing performance.

“CMT Crossroads: Sheryl Crow & Friends” premieres this Friday (Sept. 27) at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT on CMT. The special also features Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell, Joe Walsh, Emmylou Harris and Bonnie Raitt.

Threads is out now. Lucius also recently appeared on Grace Potter’s new song “Back To Me,” the video for which you can watch here.

Watch the exclusive video below, followed by Lucius’ 2016 Paste Studio session. While you’re at it, check out Crow’s Woodstock 99 performance via the Paste vault further down.
