Paste Ilegal Sessions: Watch Skegss in Los Angeles

Paste Studio “On The Road” joined our friends at Ilegal Mezcal for a day of Paste sessions at Marquez Clásico in downtown Los Angeles. Kicking off our recordings was Australian garage rockers Skegss, whose brand new album Pacific Highway Music pays tribute to their home country’s eastern coastal road, not the nearby U.S. Route 101. The band was in town to play a sold-out showcase at El Cid.

Full Session

They kicked of the set with “Out of My Head” from Pacific Highway Music, which was recorded in L.A. at both The Village and Topanga Canyon’s Fivestar Studios after cutting demos in Joshua Tree.

“Out of My Head”

The album follows 2021’s Rehearsal, which topped the charts back home. Since then, they’ve appeared at Coachella as part of sold-out U.S. tour.

“High Beaming”

After “High Beaming,” Skegss closed out their set with the album’s track #2, “Stuck in Cheyenne.” Be sure to also check out the band’s A.V. Undercover rendition of INXS’s “Don’t Change.”

“Stuck in Cheyenne”

Thanks to Skegss, Ilegal Mezcal and Marquez Clásico for making this session happen!
