Watch Katie and Allison Crutchfield Cover Sleater-Kinney’s “Modern Girl”
Photos by Brian Bedder/GettyEffortlessly cool sisters Katie (Waxahatchee) and Allison Crutchfield were present at Vulture Festival this past weekend, and graced the stage with a sisterly jam session. The duo covered Pacific Northwest staples Sleater-Kinney’s “Modern Girl,” off of the band’s album The Woods (2005). You can watch the performance below.
The Crutchfield sisters, earlier in their careers, played together in P.S. Eliot and last year released a complete anthology of their two LPs, Introverted Romance in Our Troubled Minds and Sadie, and their single EP, Living in Squalor.
Waxahatchee will release a new album, Out in the Storm, on July 14 and Allison Crutchfield released her solo debut Tourist in This Town earlier this year. Check out their performance below.
