Listen to Slow Dancer’s Wistful New Track “I Would”
Photo courtesy of Slow DancerAustralian social worker and indie artist Slow Dancer has released “I Would,” a blissfully simple tune from his forthcoming album In A Mood. The track is emotionally compelling, transporting the listener to a different period in time entirely.
Slow Dancer is Simon Okely, a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who makes music in his bedroom. Okely’s style is a merging of Bob Dylan and Morrissey, combing wistful vocals over an expertly plucked guitar. “I Would” is characterized by this earnest artistry, coupled with his sweet demeanor. His last two releases—”Don’t Believe” and “It Goes On”—are in a similar vein.
In A Mood will be released June 9 on ATO Records. You can find the official audio and an acoustic performance of “I Would,” along with a list of Slow Dancer’s tour dates, below.
