Slow Dancer Details New Album In A Mood, Shares New Single, Live “Don’t Believe” Video

It’s all happening for fresh-faced indie-R&B upstart Slow Dancer, so you’d better go ahead and get acquainted with his music now, while you still have a say in the matter.

Melbourne, Australia multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Simon Okely, a social worker by day and up-and-coming, ATO-signed crooner by night, today reveals his forthcoming sophomore album In A Mood, and he’s shared breezy lead single “It Goes On” and a batch of new North American tour dates to celebrate the occasion.

That’s not all: Okely recently bewitched us with “Don’t Believe,” In A Mood’s silky-smooth lead single, and you can now see and hear him perform the enticing track in the live video below, which Paste is proud to debut. The KEWL-directed clip is appropriately intimate—the camera stays in close to the band while Okely plucks a bass and delivers his vocals in a near-whispered sort of way, letting the song’s relentless melody rule.

If you like what you hear, you’re in luck: Slow Dancer, fresh off his U.S. live debut at SXSW, has mapped out a 14-date North American tour in support of his new record. The June-spanning jaunt finds Okely making his way from coast to coast, with two Canadian dates and double-dips in Chicago, San Francisco and L.A. mixed in.
