Solange Cancels Coachella Performance Due to “Major Production Delays”
Images via Theo Wargo/WireImage, Columbia RecordsSadly, Solange will not be performing at Coachella 2019, which kicks off this upcoming weekend. The artist, who released her album When I Get Home this year as February became March, had to cancel her set at the Indio, Calif., event as a result of “major production delays,” festival organizers announced Sunday night.
Due to major production delays, Solange will unfortunately no longer be performing at this year’s festival. She sends her sincerest apologies, and looks forward to performing at Coachella in the future.

It’s a definite loss, considering that Paste listed Solange’s FYF Festival performance as one of the 17 best live shows of 2017. At FYF, she both choreographed all of her own moves and composed the unique musical arrangements.
While Coachella attendees will be missing out on some Solange, you can at least soothe your soul by watching her self-directed, recently released video for “Way to the Show” here.
