Speedy Ortiz have released the video for “I’m Blessed” off their most recent album, Twerp Verse, out now through Carpark Records.

The video takes the witchy energy of “I’m Blessed” and runs with it, crafting a bonkers video with coyote battles, biblical snakes and queens in yellow, all set to the stop-start tempo changes of singer Sadie Dupuis and her empowering turns of phrase. The quaint pagan bedtime story was animated by Hannah Darrah, who said in a statement she hopes “viewers are able to appreciate the idea that we have the ability to summon different aspects of ourselves and we have the power to use those traits to save us from our own snakes and coyotes.”

Check out “I’m Blessed” below, along with the band’s 2014 Daytrotter Session and Dupuis performing solo as Sad13 at the Paste Studio. Speedy Ortiz will be touring for the next week or so, with one additional show next April—find those dates further down.
