Experimental pop artist Chrystia Cabral, better known as SPELLLING, is releasing her fourth album SPELLLING & the Mystery School on August 25 via Sacred Bones. In conjunction with the announcement, she’s releasing a double lead single, “Cherry” b/w “Under the Sun.” “Cherry” is minimalistic and eerie, evocative of the mystical traditions she invokes in the album’s title. “Under the Sun” is pianistic and drama-laden, the juxtaposition between the two a fitting reminder of SPELLLING’s artistic breadth.
