Spoon Announce Greatest Hits Album, Release New Single “No Bullets Spent”

Spoon have announced that they will release a new album compiling their greatest hits. They’ve also marked the reveal with their first new single since 2017, “No Bullets Spent.”

The iconic indie rockers will release the greatest hits LP Everything Hits At Once on July 26 via Matador Records. A press release also notes that the band’s “recent recording sessions point to, perhaps, a forthcoming new album.”

Spoon’s most popular and highly streamed tracks, including “The Underdog,” “Inside Out,” “Hot Thoughts” and more, will appear on the record, along with the new single.

“No Bullets Spent” is filled with Spoon’s signature, infectious electric guitar licks and features politically conscious lyrics written by frontman Britt Daniel that advocate for gun control and violence prevention.

The closing track on Everything Hits At Once, “No Bullets Spent” will also be available as a limited-edition 7”, with the band’s A Series of Sneaks-era track “Shake It Off” on the B-side. The 7” will be available exclusively at the band’s summer tour stops, as well as via the Matador and Spoon webstores.

Beck, Cage the Elephant and others will accompany Spoon on their 2019 North American tour, beginning on July 11 at Sunlight Supply Amphitheater in Ridgefield, Wash., and concluding on Aug. 30 at Coral Sky Amphitheater in West Palm Beach, Fla.
