Strand of Oaks Releases Gentle-Hearted New Track, “Ruby”

Timothy Showalter, aka Strand of Oaks, has released a nostalgic, tender new single titled “Ruby” from his forthcoming album Eraserland, due March 22 from Dead Oceans.

Showalter said of the “happiest song” he’s ever made, “Ruby isn’t a person, rather the concept of time and memory and how with every passing year it becomes nonlinear. In the past I would’ve dismissed such unabashedly pure optimism, but I’ve been through a lot and I’ve learned to appreciate those rare moments of light.”
