Introducing Endless Mode: A New Games & Anime Site from Paste
North Carolina veteran indie rockers Superchunk released a new track Tuesday, “Erasure,” featuring Katie Crutchfield (Waxahatchee) and Stephin Merritt (The Magnetic Fields).
The new song is from their forthcoming eleventh studio album, What A Time To Be Alive, out on Feb. 16. It’s their first album since 2013’s I Hate Music.
“Erasure” is an upbeat slice of power-pop featuring backing vocals from Crutchfield and Merritt in the song’s chorus. The track new follows in a similar vein of the album’s title track, which also embraces a style of protest power-pop with uplifting melodies and pointed lyrics.
