Sweetwater 420 Fest confirmed Thursday the full lineup for its three-day music festival, spanning April 19-21 at Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta. Headlining acts include the The Avett Brothers and Widespread Panic. This is the 15th anniversary of the festival.
Widespread Panic headlined Sweetwater 420 Fest back in 2017 and is sure to inspire yet another round of energetic crowds, performing four different sets across two nights. The bill also includes notable acts like Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit, and JJ Grey & Mofro, as well as Moon Taxi—the five-piece, roots-influenced alt-rock band who notoriously sells out their Georgia shows when touring. Also not to be overlooked are Vulfpeck’s Cory Wong, psychedelic-soul group Kalu & The Electric Joint, sultry glam rocker Emma Hern and Atlanta-based funk-rock outfit Hedonistas.
The festival, which serves as a sort of homage to the sounds of Americana, was founded on the basis of bringing together music, beer and the environment all in one place. While a music festival first and foremost, the event also serves as a celebration of Earth Day and features green-friendly charities, nonprofits, environmental workshops, an artist market and a 5K run.
