Listen to SZA’s New Track “Broken Clocks” from Forthcoming Album CTRL

R&B songstress SZA has released one more track from her highly anticipated debut album CTRL that proves that the 26-year-old is on her way to icon status.

“Broken Clocks” is a cool, smooth tune with a hint of modernity, a combination that is beginning to be SZA’s calling card. The album’s singles—the tongue-in-cheek “Drew Barrymore” and “Love Galore” with Travis Scott—are both strong indications of her ability to take command of a track without overpowering the instrumental.

SZA, who was featured on our 25 Great Musicians Under 25 in 2015, resembles a young Lauryn Hill or Sade with her powerful voice and unique visuals, and could easily have an extensive catalog of legendary songs by the time she’s 40.

You can listen to “Broken Clocks” below. CTRL is due out June 9 via Top Dawg Entertainment.
