Besides their 2017 compilation album celebrating the 10-year anniversary of The Con, Tegan and Sara have been keeping quiet on the music front since their last studio album Love You to Death in 2016. Today (Feb. 12), though, they dropped a few more tidbits about their forthcoming record, previously announced in December 2018.
According to their Twitter account, the twin sisters have 20 demos at the ready. On Feb. 5, they tweeted that they are due back in the studio soon, in response to a post by Dua Lipa.
We have twenty demos done. You ready for a new T&S record yet?

Ummmm, we’re also headed back to the studio soon. I promise you though, we are nowhere near as cool or put together as this in the studio. We need to step our shit up. I wonder if @DUALIPA would possibly style us for the making of our new record? https://t.co/2hkwr6IKv0

While we still don’t have a release date for their ninth studio album, we can expect the Canadian duo’s first memoir on Sept. 24 this year.
