The Avett Brothers Release Another New Single, “Neapolitan Sky”

The Avett Brothers have released their third new single in three months, this one titled “Neapolitan Sky.”

The single follows the late-2018 releases of “Roses and Sacrifice” and “Trouble Letting Go,” all three of which still remain unattached to a larger project announcement.

In a video posted by Scott Avett to promote the folk trio’s latest release, he assures fans that he and his brothers do more than “drink champagne by the fire” while not on the road.

“Neapolitan Sky” has made appearances across tour dates over the last few years, but with the release of its official studio recording, it is more and more likely that we’re approaching the trio’s tenth studio album release in 2019. Although we’re still holding out for any official details on their forthcoming album, the trio of new songs and upcoming North American headlining tour are hopeful glimmers that more information is soon to follow.

Listen to the wistful “Neapolitan Sky,” and see an Avett Bros. performance from the Paste archives and dates for the band’s upcoming tour below.
