The Breeders Tease New Music

Earlier this year, The Breeders announced U.S. tour dates and left fans wondering if they would hear new material when the band made their way across the country. We already knew that the alt-rock heroines were working on a new record because they shared that Courtney Barnett had joined them during a recording session last year. Now, they’ve finally given us a taste of what they’ve been working via social media:

What initially appears as a simple greeting to the band’s Twitter followers, upon further investigation, is a 10-second clip of a rhythmic guitar riff and exclamations of “Good morning!” We’ll take what we can get, but hopefully we can hear the rest of the track by the time The Breeders kick off their tour at the end of October.
