Watch Beyoncé and Jay-Z Perform “APESHIT” Live for the First Time, with Michelle Obama Dancing Front Row
Photos by Kevin Mazur/GettyBeyoncé and Jay-Z’s now-famous “APESHIT” video was filmed in the Louvre, so there’s perhaps no place more fitting than Paris to perform the track live for the first time. On Sunday night, The Carters performed the Everything Is Love track at the Stade de France in Paris, one of a string of stops on the European leg of their OTR II tour. The crowd went absolutely wild for the song, and Beyoncé and Jay-Z appeared just as eager to deliver. Watch the music power couple live-debut “APESHIT” below.
Among those audience members was a zealous Michelle Obama, seated in prime front row territory next to Tina Knowles, Beyoncé’s mother. The former First Lady gets her groove on to Jay-Z’s “On to the Next One,” which you can also watch below, thanks to the trusty Beyoncé Legion Twitter account.
The Carters released their surprise joint album Everything Is Love in June. After a brief period streaming exclusively on Jay’s streaming platform Tidal, Everything Is Love went digital for all the world to hear. Watch the iconic “APESHIT” video here.
The European leg of the OTR II tour wraps up this week in Nice, France. Starting on July 25 in Cleveland, Ohio, The Carters will remain Stateside for the North American run. You can find ticket info here.
