Listen to The Head and the Heart’s New Single, “All We Ever Knew”

Music News The Head and the Heart

The desolate three-year wait is over. The Head and The Heart have released a new single, “All We Ever Knew,” and have announced that their third album will be called Signs of Light, set to drop on Sept. 9.

The Seattle-based band posted a photo to Twitter and Facebook yesterday bearing the type, “6.3.2016. The Head and the Heart,” so we knew something big was in the works. We’ve also gathered from Twitter that the new track played on a few radio stations yesterday, though the song was nowhere to be found online until this morning.

“All We Ever Knew” is all we could have hoped for in new THATH, a lush, harmony-heavy, upbeat track with absolutely heartbreaking lyrics like, “You don’t see why your world has no love to give, well, what goes around comes around.” THATH continue what’s becoming a tradition of making the saltiest sass sound sweet as homemade pie.

Listen to the track below, set to a delightful .GIF of a poolside scene, the cover art for Signs of Light. We dare you to try not to listen to it on repeat all day. (Actually, we don’t, because it’s amazing and you should definitely do that.)
