The Killers Put Out Ethereal New Single “Some Kind of Love”
Photo by Anton CorbijnThe countdown of the number of weeks left until The Killers release Wonderful, Wonderful is down to one, but the band just dished out another slice of the record for us to enjoy until then.
They shared “Some Kind of Love,” inspired by Brian Eno’s ambient “An Ending (Ascent)” from his 1983 album Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks. The meditative track uses ethereal synth and floating harmonies as the backdrop of frontman Brandon Flower’s distinguished vocals.
The song is a delicate lullaby compared to all the punchy singles we’ve heard so far from the forthcoming album: “The Man,” “Run For Cover” and the title track of the album. Wonderful, Wonderful will be out Sept. 22 via Island Records. Listen to the atmospheric new cut below.
