The Knife Announce Shaking The Habitual: Live at Terminal 5 Album, Film & Photo Book

Swedish experimental duo The Knife reactivated their social media this past week, updating their Facebook profile photo and releasing a series of cryptically strange teaser videos, which had fans wondering if the electronic pair were coming back out of retirement. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case just yet—however, the band is releasing a live album and concert documentary detailing one of their final live shows, supporting their 2013 album Shaking The Habitual. Watch the teaser trailer below.

The album, film and photo book titled Shaking The Habitual: Live at Terminal 5 are due to be released in a couple weeks on Sept. 1 via Rabid Records. However, good luck trying to snag a copy. The project is unavailable to stream or purchase in a huge portion of the world, including the U.S., Canada, Asia, the U.K. and Ireland—this is all due to a dispute between the band and another label, Brille Records. A representative of the band did say the film will be streaming on the duo’s website here beginning on Sept. 1, though.

Shaking The Habitual: Live At Terminal 5 the film will also screen at the Bio Rio Cinema in Stockholm on Aug. 30. You can pre-order the album here, and the DVD and photo book here, and watch the trailer below.
