The Lemon Twigs Share Two New Singles, “Foolin’ Around” and “Tailor Made”

Long Island rock duo The Lemon Twigs have unveiled two new stand-alone singles, “Foolin’ Around and “Tailor Made.”

It’s the first new material from brothers Brian and Michael D’Addario since their 2017 EP Brothers of Destruction and their 2016 debut album Do Hollywood. They recorded the songs in their home studio early this year, saying of the new tracks, “Here are two rockers that we worked up 5 or 6 months ago. We had the urge to make some plain Rock and Roll. We thought we’d made some, but what’s plain about Rock and Roll?”

“Foolin’ Around” and “Tailor Made” ditch some of the band’s ‘60s experimental pop tendencies from their debut album in favor of classic ‘70s American rock via Big Star. Though both singles are devoid of any kind of distortion, instead you’ll soak up their melodic songwriting and undeniably strong musicianship backed by off-the-wall, passionate performances.

The band is currently in the studio working on their second album. Their only two confirmed live shows of this year so far are appearances at the U.K.’s Green Man Festival alongside The War on Drugs, Fleet Foxes and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, and France’s La Route du Rock Festival alongside Phoenix, Grizzly Bear, Patti Smith and Shame.
