Many of the songs that The Menzingers write give us a good look at houses after parties and streets after parades, where there’s a lot less to look forward to. The houses all smell like dead beer and there’s probably a little vomit in the sink or in the trashcan. The streets are covered with paper, crushed peppermint circles and melted Tootsie Rolls. There are probably some horse turds and piss trailing down the centerline as well.
