The National have announced a slew of new tour dates for 2018 after winning their first Grammy for their acclaimed album Sleep Well Beast last month. The band’s latest tour will be a mix of festivals and small and large venues across the globe.
Along with new tour dates, the group will be making up their recently postponed Greek Theatre dates, originally scheduled for the weekend of Oct. 14, 2017. The shows were postponed due to air quality concerns stemming form the wildfires in northern California. Now, the shows will be on Sept. 24 and 25, with Big Thief and Cat Power as supporting acts. Tickets from the original shows will be honored, but refunds are also available for those unable to attend the rescheduled dates.
This tour announcement follows news of the band headlining the Sasquatch Festival, All Points East and Shaky Knees Festival, along with curating their own Homecoming Festival and MusicNow 2018. Tickets for Homecoming + MusicNow are available here and here. 2018 looks to be awfully busy on the touring front for The National.
To coincide with today’s announcement, the band’s tour tickets were made available for sale. Find those dates below., beneath audio from the band’s 2007 Daytrotter Session.
