The National’s New Album Sleep Well Beast Gets Release Date
Photo by Mark Metcalfe/GettyAfter a few days of The National toying with our emotions, we now know that the band’s seventh album will drop this year.
The National’s latest LP is titled Sleep Well Beast, and it’s the first proper record from the indie-rock group since 2013’s Trouble Will Find Me. It’s out Sept. 8 on 4AD, and though there’s still not much info on Matt Berninger and company’s latest effort, promo posters and artwork have been popping up to promote Sleep Well Beast, as well as tour dates in support of the record, so the album promotion cycle is in full effect now.
While waiting for additional info about the record, check out some of the artwork that’s been unveiled below, watch a segment of their marathon six-hour performance of “Sorrow” at the MoMa back in 2013—it’s still a sight to behold—and enjoy a few National tracks from the Paste Cloud.
