Strokes Guitarist Nick Valensi Confirms Work on Band’s Sixth Album
Photo by Imeh Akpanudosen/GettyFollowing May’s Future Present Past EP, The Strokes guitarist Nick Valensi has confirmed that the band is “slowly but surely” working on their sixth studio album, according to a DIY interview.
Details are sparse, but expectations are high for the follow-up to 2013’s Comedown Machine. “I don’t know when it’s going to be released, we’re kind of just in writing sessions,” Valensi said of the album.
In addition to working on The Strokes’ forthcoming album, Valensi is preparing the debut release of his new band CRX. New Skin is out Oct. 28 via Columbia, marking Valensi as the last Strokes member to embark on a side project.
