In a recent interview with The West Australian, Albert Hammond, the father of The Strokes’ rhythm guitarist Albert Hammond Jr., revealed that his son’s band is working with renowned producer Rick Rubin.
“They’re making a new album now with a great producer called Rick Rubin,” Hammond said. “I speak to my son every day and he says that they’re so happy.”
Rubin is known for his production work with artists including Adele, Black Sabbath and Red Hot Chili Peppers. The Strokes have yet to release a full-length follow-up to 2013’s Comedown Machine.
