The xx Reveal U.S. Tour Dates by Sending Free Tickets to Fans

Last fall, The xx first teased out info on their upcoming European tour by sending out letters to fans revealing dates and venues of shows and informing them they had received free tickets. Well, it appears that the British trio is at it again, this time in the States.

As reported by Pitchfork, just one day after The xx were announced to play Coachella, some fans who had preordered the group’s forthcoming third album, I See You, have been taking to Twitter to announce that they had received letters in the mail with announcements of shows across the U.S. starting in May. Along with tickets to the show closest to their address, the lucky fans also received a 7” single of “On Hold,” the first single off the new album.

I See You is out Jan. 13 on Young Turks, but you can watch the music video for “On Hold” here, and listen to the recently released “Say Something Loving” here. The xx also performed as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live in November, where they debuted the song “I Dare You.”
