Gallery: Camp Flog Gnaw 2024
Last weekend, Tyler, the Creator’s annual Camp Flog Gnaw festival returned to Dodger Stadium for its 10-year celebration. The two-day brought some of the most beloved and powerful names in modern music together, including Erykah Badu, Denzel Curry, Earl Sweatshirt, Yves Tumor, Faye Webster, Sampha and André 3000. Joining the ranks, too, were Hana Vu, Wisp, Sexxy Red, Doechii and RAYE, as well as Matt Champion, Syd, The Marias, Orion Sun and more.
The festival comes on the heels of the release of Tyler, the Creator’s new album, CHROMAKOPIA, which we named a Paste Pick. In their 9.4/10-scored review, music editor Matt Mitchell wrote that “CHROMAKOPIA is not like any of the last three or four albums Tyler, the Creator released. Sure, it may nab comparisons to the polarizing disorder of Cherry Bomb, or even the collage inspirations of CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST, but this record works because it is a combination of all of those things without, if we’re being honest, sounding explicitly like any of them.
