Vagabon Announces New Album, Releases “Can I Talk My Shit?”

New York indie maven Laetitia Tamko, better known as Vagabon, has announced her third LP Sorry I Haven’t Called, out September 15 via Nonesuch Records. In conjunction, she’s unleashed the album’s vibrant dance-pop lead single “Can I Talk My Shit?” and an accompanying video. Vagabon’s musical evolution has earned her a chameleonic reputation in the industry, and “Can I Talk My Shit?” promises a further sonic metamorphosis. Sparkly electronic arpeggios and cheerful synth anchor Vagabon’s weightless melodies, intertwining into a song that feels like sunshine.

Sorry I Haven’t Called is conversational and openhearted, a peek into Vagabon’s everyday. “This whole record is how I talk to my friends and…my lovers,” she notes. “There’s beauty in plainly speaking without metaphors and without flowery imagery.” The 12-track LP will see Vagabon tour across the US and Europe in fall, accompanying Weyes Blood for the latter.
