Vampire Weekend Want You to Eat Tacos for a Good Cause

Vampire Weekend and tacos are surely two great tastes that taste great together. At least, Los Angeles restaurant HomeState seems to think so. Starting today, Aug. 1 and running through Oct. 31, socially conscious diners can swing by the eatery for “Vegetarian Weekend” tacos—$5 veggie fajitas with shiitake mushrooms, red and yellow bell peppers, guacamole, cotija cheese and fresh cilantro in an organic corn tortilla. Bring your own horchata for the full Vampire Weekend experience.

The best part? All proceeds will be donated to the L.A. chapter of non-profit PATH—that’s People Assisting the Homeless, if you’re not big on brevity, an organization working to end homelessness in California The first five customers at HomeState’s Hollywood, Highland Park and Playa Vista branches will receive a poster commemorating both their hunger and willingness to support a cause.

The Vampire Weekend Signature Vegetarian Weekend Taco is available August 1 – October 31 from our friends at @homestate. Proceeds go to the LA branch of @pathpartners to help end homelessness by building affordable housing and providing supportive services for individuals, families, and communities.
