Waxahatchee Announces 2019 Tour Dates with Bonny Doon

Waxahatchee’s Katie Crutchfield has announced the final leg of her national tour in support of her latest EP, Great Thunder, out now through Merge. After finishing the Australian leg of her tour, on which she will play shows with Courtney Barnett and Kevin Morby, Crutchfield will kick off her final U.S. tour leg in February. She will be joined by Detroit-based band Bonny Doon, who will serve both as her opener and her backing band.

“I’m so excited to announce this West Coast tour with Bonny Doon,” Crutchfield said in a statement. “They are, and have long been, one of my favorite bands making music right now.” She went on to state that this would be her last tour for a while, as she will be taking time off to focus on writing new music.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10 a.m. local time.
