White Lung Release Intense, Disorienting Video for “Dead Weight”

Vancouver punks White Lung have released one hell of a video for “Dead Weight,” the lead track off of their latest album, Paradise.

The video features vocalist Mish Barber-Way singing in her home in Los Angeles. A notice warns that the video may cause seizures in those who suffer from photosensitive epilepsy before showing scenes of Way convulsing throughout the house. Directed by John Stavas, the video shows the home’s archetypal, barren décor, which becomes ominous with symbols of upside-down crosses, taxidermied animals and an American flag.

White Lung released Paradise back in May, and it was recently shortlisted for the coveted Polaris Music Prize. The album made Paste’s mid-year list of 2016’s best albums. Watch the video above and check out the band’s tours dates here.
