Wild Nothing Soars with New Single “Blue Wings”

Following last year’s release of his fourth studio album Indigo, Wild Nothing (aka Jack Tatum) has shared a standalone new track titled “Blue Wings.”
The song narrowly missed the cut for inclusion on last year’s Indigo, but Tatum claims that it didn’t just sit right with him. The last-minute decision to omit it clearly stuck with Tatum, as the hyperactive dream-pop track is now available to stream.
“It’s a song about walking through to the other side of crippling self-doubt with the help of someone you love. It’s a reminder to myself not to let things spiral, hard as it may be at times,” Tatum said in a statement.
“Blue Wings” feels like the appropriately starry-eyed kind of content that would’ve found its stride within Indigo, but Tatum’s choice to highlight it as its own entity feels appropriate, given its context.
