Watch “Champions of Red Wine,” the Gorgeous New Pornographers Video Shot in Cuba

The New Pornographers released their sixth studio album, Brill Bruisers, last August, and today they’ve shared the video for the single “Champions of Red Wine.” Beautifully shot in Cuba by the Cudmore + LeBlanc team, it looks more like a short film than a music video. The main character, a wandering drunk who gives off a modern-Hemingway vibe and identifies as a “prehistoric man,” seems to be slogging through an existential funk. Still, despite the masculine melancholy pervading the video, my main takeaway was that I really want to go to Cuba.
