Wolf Alice just keeps getting better. We caught them at an electrifying performance at the Brooklyn Paramount in support of their latest album, The Clearing. Hitting the stage with “Thorns,” lead singer Ellie Rowsell came out wearing her album cover look. The setlist spanned most of the new album with a handful of favorites from past albums sprinkled in. Rowsell belting “Yuk Foo,” off the band’s sophomore album Visions of a Life, into a megaphone was a highlight. The band then seamlessly transitioned into “Play the Greatest Hits” from 2021’s transcendent Blue Weekend. If there’s one thing Rowsell loves to do it’s scream.

Wolf Alice returned for an encore, playing their inaugural hit “Mona Lisa Smile” and then finishing up the show with what will perhaps be their musical legacy “Don’t Delete the Kisses.” As the audience screamed “You! And! Me! Are meant to be in love” in conversation with a band that is clearly one of the best touring acts of the decade, the words rang true.
