PREMIERE: Worriers Release “Top 5,” Announce Fall Tour Dates

Worriers are back with another single from their upcoming record Trust Your Gut, out September 15 via Ernest Jenning Record Co. Following the incredible title track last month, “Top 5” is a swelling, cathartic release; a raging-against-the-machine of your own stagnancy type of vibe. The track skates fiercely across frontperson Lauren Denitzio’s pandemic experience, a crashing refusal to give up and lie down. Replete with organs and weighty guitar riffs, “Top 5” emerges triumphant from the rubble of Denitzio’s crisis of faith.

“I wanted to capture the [spring 2020] feeling of internal turmoil when we were burdened with myriad reasons to be angry and sad simultaneously,” Denitzio explains. “Through all of it, the light at the end of the tunnel was the celebration we’ll have when the person responsible for so much misery finally pays for it. It’s a song of heightened and conflicting emotions.”
