yasiin bey and The Alchemist Team Up For New Project FORENSICS
The Bandcamp-exclusive livestream of the project will occur February 7.
On February 7 at 9 PM CT, yasiin bey (formerly known as Mos Def) and producer/DJ The Alchemist will perform their new collaborative album, FORENSICS, during a livestream performance on Bandcamp. The performance comes on the heels of the duo’s concert at Le Trianon in Paris last month during fashion week, and the album marks work done by both artists in Los Angeles in 2023.
The livestream will cost $9.99 and feature a 48-hour replay window after the event concludes. According to a press release, a replay of the performance will also be available to purchase on Vimeo OTT afterwards. FORENSICS is projected to be available for download on Bandcamp sometime this spring and will be accompanied by a vinyl release. There will also be an opportunity for Bandcamp users to purchase album-related merchandise with “wearable artwork” and a scannable “BUMP™” tag.
