At this point it feels trite to compare Yuck to ‘90s guitar heroes such as Dinosaur Jr. or Pavement, but the band’s new song, “Hearts in Motion,” doesn’t do much to dispel these comparisons.
The single, the band’s first from album Stranger Things , which is out Feb. 26, opens with a whirling Pixies-ish guitar riff. The song adds some power-pop punch and the vocals feature some revved up reverb and layered harmonies.
