The Funniest Timing for a Pro-Scaramucci Story Goes to The Federalist

So, the Mooch is out. After ten glorious days, the clown prince of Trump’s media staff got the axe, and it’s not that much of a surprise. Matt Taibbi at Rolling Stone, in fact, wrote his obituary three days ago.

Others were not so prescient. Boris Epshteyn, a “political analyst” for the wildly pro-Trump Sinclair Broadcast Group, praised Scaramucci’s “new approach” just three days ago in a video op-ed on WJLA. But the grand prize for shitty timing? That goes to The Federalist, which released this hilarious story just hours before the firing:

That headline, in case you can’t read it:

“Why Anthony Scaramucci Is The Man Trump And America Need”

Lol.

Here’s the rousing conclusion:

President Donald Trump is who he is. He’s a tough as nails New Yorker who enjoys competition. No well-intentioned compromisers from Wisconsin, be they Paul Ryan or Priebus, can change that. President Trump needs a voice that speaks his language. Scaramucci is fluent. Trump will never be a Republican in any sense we used to think of. Can he change what Republican means? Maybe. And making Anthony Scaramucci his mouthpiece lets us all know the stakes.

Hours later? Scaramucci is gone, but this article remains. Add it to the Internet Museum, in the “irony” wing.
